i dont know why layouts get rejected. usually, when one does the send you a message as to why. if that doesnt happen, try reading the guidlines and see what they expect of you.
to take a screen shot first have your layout of somebody's page (ex. a myspace page if its a myspace layout) then, press the F11 key to make it full screen. next press the print screen button on your keyboard. finally go to some program like paint and paste it on there (by edit>paste or rightclick>paste) you should have your screen shot. edit it in whichever way as long as it doesnt interfere with the layout. you done =]
